Welcome to our country Italy!
Welcome to Italy! "Benvenuto in Italia!" Although there are many Italian authors, the authors listed on the next tab are apart of our top ten authors we believe contributed the most to Italy. The top ten authors were chosen from a variety of categories which include gender, specific time periods, most valued work, and individualism. We included authors from the early on time periods , such as the Romans, all the way up to the 21st century. To rule out gender favoring and the typical stereotypes that only males can generate valuable work, we took out the time to research what women have produced great work that has gone unrecognized. Overall, our ten authors have been proven to be some of the best out of Italy: Julius Caesar, Publius Maro, Decimus Iuvenalis, Dante Alighieri, Francisco Petrarch, Giovanni Boccaccio, Niccolo Machiavelli, Goffredo Mameli, Grazia Deledda, and Elena Ferrante.
