Father of Italian Language! 

Introduction

One of the most famous Italian authors during the middle ages was no other than Dante Alighieri. Dante was born in 1265, Florence Italy. He is best known for writing his epic poem called the Divine Comedy. His Christian beliefs have inspired his work. The poem that he wrote consists of the three tiers of the Christian afterlife. Those tiers are heaven, hell and purgatory. Before his death, he had enlightened many people with his work along with other authors.Despite the fact that his political points were bound to disappointment, Dante accomplished awesome triumphs in writing. Strikingly, he was one of the first writers to write in the Italian, instead of Latin, and in this manner had a characterizing impact on what Italian is today.

One of the most famous works that Dante wrote is called The Divine Comedy. The Divine Comedy is a narrative poem that describes Dante's imaginary journey. Halfway on his journey through life, Dante acknowledges that he has taken the wrong path.

  • He meets another writer named Virgil, and they start a series of voyages. 

  • Dante and Virgil go to Hades where they witness the various orders for the people who opposed God in the midst of their lives
